The Kaiviti Silktails are aiming to get back-to-back wins at home, when they face Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs this Saturday at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
Silktails head coach Wes Naiqama said another big game awaits them this weekend and the players would give their best to get the full two points.
“We turned it around last week against the Penrith Brothers and we had a nearly flawless first half,” he said.
Naiqama added that a few players are in doubt for this weekend’s clash due to injuries sustained in earlier games.
“We could lose a few players to injuries- Sirilo Lovokuro and Jonathan Roseman would have their final check-up before we make a call on them.
“Tevita Vukicea, he was also stretched off the field, however, we get Manoa Vilikesa back from suspension and it also leaves the door open for one of the younger boys to come back into the team.”
The former Fiji Bati captain said they had a good session yesterday and would work on key areas.
“The win against Brothers definitely boosted our confidence going into this week.
“Club captain Sunia Naruma started at number seven last week which really worked well for us, and he is very clear with direction.
“He really got the momentum going and we will stick to Naruma at half-back plus Rusiate Baleitamavua comes back into the team and could partner him at halves.”
He said the side could potentially lose key forward, however, it provides opportunities for other young guys to step in.
The match kicks-off at 12pm.
